Stories of Hope
Behind every handcrafted piece is a real story.
These are glimpses of resilience, restoration, and hope from the lives connected to the work of Jars of Hope and the communities we partner with.
Every purchase becomes part of a larger story — helping create opportunity, impact lives, and restore hope, one jar at a time.

Knocked Down, But Not Knocked Out

Mohanna joined CMCT in 1993 after poverty forced her to leave school. Through tailoring training, CMCT became more than a workplace — it became a place of support, encouragement, and hope.
In 2014, tragedy struck when her husband passed away, leaving her to raise her young son alone. Though deeply shaken, Mohanna persevered.
Through CMCT’s child sponsorship support, her son Sam was able to continue his education and is now preparing for his Grade 10 board exams. Today, despite ongoing health struggles, Mohanna continues to work faithfully in the handicrafts department.
She shared that the chapel messages and caring environment at CMCT gave her strength to keep going.
Stories like Mohanna’s remind us that behind every handcrafted item is not just skill and creativity, but resilience, dignity, and hope.
Thank you for supporting the work of Jars of Hope and helping create opportunities that continue to impact lives in meaningful ways.
